This small and charming Boutique Hotel in Aspen contains seven suites and apartments, each one individually decorated in European flavor. The high ceilings offer the spaciousness rarely found in a ski resort. The bedrooms are furnished with Ralph Lauren linens and down-filled duvets. Original antique furnishings and accent pieces adorn each room, while walls are covered with museum quality artwork and designer fabrics. Most suites have wood-burning fireplaces. Crystal chandeliers, Persian rugs, marble bathrooms, hard wood floors and large overstuffed sofas and chairs give each room the comforts of a luxurious home. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and Aspen's downtown areas are seen from each window. Many of the suites contain oversized sunken tubs, some with private Jacuzzis, steam showers and separate marble vanities and floors, while others delight with hand painted Sherle Wagner sinks and gold fixtures. The Residence Hotel prides itself in being known as the hotel where you get the personal service of royalty and the place where you can still get spoiled rotten.
The Penthouse
This extraordinary Aspen apartment encompasses over 1700 square feet. There are two full bedrooms and bathrooms. The upstairs or Penthouse bedrooms and bathroom command views of 3/4 of the surrounding mountains, including Aspen, Smuggler, and Red Mountain as well as Independence Pass.
The Queen bedroom is done in a French white motif, while the adjoining twin room with two twin beds decoreted with Mario Buatta fabrics. The shared bath is done in imported salmon marble, with double basins and a separate bathing area.
The living area contains two separate sitting areas, one with a entertainment center with a full stereo, tape and CD player, as well as Television, DVD player and VCR. Movie channels, a video library, and CD library are allavailable complementary. There is a lovely downstairs bathroom, complete with upholstered walls and walnut floors.
The Dining area will seat up to 12 guests comfortably. Imported china, crystal and silver can be supplied in the gourmet kitchen which is also fully stocked with any basic foods.
Both the dining and living areas are filled with original antiques, Persian carpets, and museum quality artwork, including the 200 year old neoclassical painting which cover the 12 foot high walls. The views extend out into the Victorian downtown of Aspen and to the mountains beyond.
The Master Suite
Intimate. Our Master Suite is ideal for a couple or even a single traveler. The room is over 500 square feet with high ceilings, and is carefully furnished and beautifully appointed to satisfy even the most discriminating of tastes. The room contains a beautiful extra large kingsize bed with 17th century hand carved Chinese fruit wood headboard. The bed is dressed with Ralph Lauren linens, and covered with yards of down duvets. The rich look and feel of this antique bed is beyond description... The most heavenly place to dive into after a day of Aspen skiing.
The bed is framed by two antique consoles from the Guggenheim Museum in New York. They are adorned with beautiful bronze ormolu.
The oversized bathroom with crystal chandelier features and double Jacuzzi bathtub. Mirrors surround the entire room. Graceful swanlike Kohler faucets service the double sinks and bathtub. Theatre lighting surrounds the large mirrored vanities.
The room is upholstered with antique fortuni fabric and framed with beautiful beams. It is surrounded by a collection of antique framed Bonbay watercolors that add richness to the walls.
The entryway boasts a hand carved French Armoire that dates back to 1842. The walnut floor is carried throughout the suite and into the large walk in closet. As added new world luxuries the room has an extra large Sony TV, DVD, VCR + washer/dryer.
